The virtual family and society

Historically and since modern societies emerged, a modern family has been defined as a triangle of father, mother and children, influenced by an outer circle of

entities, such as media, relatives, friends and other social bodies. Most of these interactions needed physical presence to take place. In the past two decades and with the evolution of the internet, social media and mobile phones, the world has created many virtual societies, which everybody lives in and through, including all family members. Though this new technology has brought with it many good things, at the same time caused big disruption to all classical concepts and norms of societies and family, including raising children, influencing children and the like. Furthermore, caused s bid reduction in physical interaction, emotional and social interaction. It is normal to come to a room at any house and find the entire family sitting in the TV room or at the dinning table with everybody holding his mobile to navigate the internet, interact with others or respond to calls or messages. What is worst, is that done times this interaction through the new virtual world is happening with people sitting beside him.
